DIAMOND ANVIL CELLS
Diamond anvil cells produced by D'ANVILS are made of Vascomax 350 (specifications.pdf
) Copper-Nickel alloy (specifications.html) suitable for operation
in magnetic fields, and Inconel
718 (specifications.pdf) suitable for high temperatures applications (900 °C). They are compact, easy to operate, and
relatively inexpensive. Due to their miniature sizes, they can be easily fitted into standard commercial cryostats, ovens,
spectrometers, magnets, etc.. Pressure is varied using small Allen screws and will optically accommodate most microscopes’ objectives focal
lengths.
The DACs kit package includes operation instructions and appropriate gadget for setting the anvils.
Two configurations are available:
Both configurations are suitable for spectroscopy of all kinds, resistance measurements,
Mössbauer Spectroscopy, and X-ray studies.
Specifications:
- Diameter 22.5 mm, height ~ 12 mm (depends on anvils heights).
- Weight 25 gram.
- Operation in the sub-megabar range
- Temperature operation
range for Vascomax or Cu-alloy: 0-550 K. Inconel : 0-1200 K
- Pressure variation at
cryogenic conditions: less than 2% of ambient temperature.
- Highest pressure achieved with 0.25 mm culets 90 GPa.
- Backing plate's standard holes are 1.2 mm in diameter and 60°
opening. Other holes specifications upon request.
